The soundtrack of this chapter.
9 hours and 20 minutes of songs we've kept along the way.
CHAPTER 01.
An unexpected beginning.
In 2021, two French women met on the southern coast of Sri Lanka.
One was chasing waves. The other wandered with a camera in hand.
Friendship came first.
Then came a simple desire: to create the pieces they wished they could wear. Light enough for tropical days, effortless enough to follow their way of living.
What began as a shared indulgence slowly became SUD.
A wardrobe born from a place, a season and a different rhythm of life.
CHAPTER 02.
Looking for fabrics. Finding stories.
We wandered through quiet streets, stepped into hidden workshops and followed unexpected conversations.
There was no plan. Only curiosity.
A forgotten sari. A trusted tailor. A recommendation passed from one person to another.
Little by little, SUD took shape.
We weren't simply searching for fabrics.
Every piece still carries something of that journey.
We were searching for stories, craftsmanship and the people behind them.
CHAPTER 03.
Never twice.
SUD was imagined as a whole, from the very beginning.
The one of one pieces. The red thread. The lines that quietly return. The playlists. The postcards. The words we chose. The ones we left behind.
Every detail became part of the same story.
Built by two women, with more instinct than strategy, the brand grew through long conversations, countless hours, shared laughter and the occasional disagreement.
Not because we wanted to create a brand.
Because we wanted to create a world.
CHAPTER 04.
The journey continues.
What began on the southern coast of Sri Lanka now continues far beyond the island.
Our first boutique became a place to meet, discover and return to. Over the years, women from around the world have found their piece, then came back for another.
Today, SUD travels to the lobbies of carefully chosen hotels, each new destination becoming another chapter of the story.
Some women discover us while travelling.
Others travel with us.
Either way, the journey continues.
9 hours and 20 minutes of songs we've kept along the way.
